Atlas Seed Super Sour Runtz

 

Created by Alberta-based breeder Ron Herrington of Gold Hat Seeds, this strain showcases his signature approach to combining elite genetics. Herrington began with the New Jersey cut of Sour Diesel and crossed it to Red Runtz, a Spannabis “Best Overall” category winner, then integrated his Southern Oregon–sourced Mac1 (Miracle Alien Cookies) line. The resulting plant solves Mac1’s notorious stretch issues while boosting terpene depth and stability. Expect dense, resin-rich flowers bursting with dank, herbal, and sour notes that improve as they cure, making the strain especially appealing for commercial cultivation. While its tight bud structure enhances bag appeal, it can be susceptible to mold under prolonged wet conditions late in flower. As one of Herrington’s personal standouts, this release debuted in summer ‘23 via a Future Cannabis Project grow-along, marking the first public availability of his long-developed genetics.
